The boat ramp at Carmila Creek has easy access to some of the best fishing along the coast with sunset fishing particularly good for barramundi, mangrove jack, trevally and flathead. Tasty mud crabs can be found here as well.

The award-winning Sarina Sugar Shed is only 72km north of Carmila and offers guided tours of the unique miniature working sugar mill and distillery.
